Toy or Model Photography part 2

Another way of making your models appear more lifelike in photographs is to put them into a natural background. It doesn't nececarily have to be anywhere special. A back garden area will often provide adequate interest. But what you must do is get down to the level of the model. Shoot it from the same perspective you would its full size version.

Put figures and tanks in grass. Hold aircraft against a real sky. The opportunities are endless.

And if you dont want to go outside, try placing your model against a computer or tv screen.
